Because I'm having a shallow moment, Part I

I refuse to pretend that I don't enjoy celebrity sightings. Because I do. I devour US Weekly and InTouch at the gym. So there.

Anyway, here's a list of the celebs I remember seeing around the city:

• Howard Stern -- he JOGS! In Central Park. And always with his girlfriend. Who's gorgeous.
• Chris Noth -- also jogging; he looked like he had just endured one long, hard night.
• Sarah Jessica Parker -- pretty but way too thin. I made a fool of myself by saying, "Hi, Sarah Jessica" like she was my neighbor or something.
• Richard Dreyfuss -- eating at the local diner where our older son likes to have "frakes and shies."
• Mandy Patinkin -- great voice; must have great breath control as he was singing to himself and reading a scipt while huffing away on the elliptical trainer.
• Jerry Seinfeld -- strolling in the park with his wife. Wearing a baseball cap.
• Richard Belzer -- dressed all in black a la Johnny Cash. Way too chipper for someone who looks like death warmed over.
• Cynthia Nixon -- looked like someone I'd chat with on the line at the supermarket. Scolding her daughter on the sidewalk (I've been there) and swimming at our ex-gym.
• Maura Tierney -- sucking on a cigarette like her life depended on it (which it sort of does -- she should quit) while waiting for the bus. Not very friendly.
• Liev Schreiber -- more handsome than I thought he'd look. And tall. Very tall.
• Stanley Tucci -- seemed to be trying to be conspicuous so he'd be noticed. I pretended not to notice.
• Christina Ricci and Adam Goldberg -- she: much too tiny for her own good; he: much too scruffy for his own good. They were eating. Sort of.
• Keanu Reeves -- with his GF of the moment. Wearing a suit. 5 o'clock shadow. More like 11 o'clock shadow.
• Dan Florek -- ("TA-TUN" -- cue the Law & Order: SVU theme song). At Radio City Music Hall. He went to Eastern, my alma mater. Very friendly.
